The Indian way of carrying things is a by making a 'potli' with the cloth, which in contemporary times, is a lost concept. Looking at it with fresh eyes, I treat my clay like a cloth wanting to hold a plant inside it.
Considering the properties of cloth which are far apart from the ones of clay, I had a challenge in front of me to make it look close to what I imagined and functional too.
